Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Shipping & Delivery

Depending on the size, weight, and nature of our goods, they are shipped either via parcel service or freight carrier. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times listed in the online store are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

Most of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipping). As a result, delivery times may differ from the estimated times provided. Delivery delays may occur, particularly in the event of material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Disclaimer:

We assume no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages—in particular for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits—is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted, provided they are reasonable for the customer. This does not result in additional shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided on an individual basis upon request, either before or after the order is placed.

Please contact us by phone at +49 (0)2551 5030 or by email at shipping@strahltechnik-express.de.

In the event of significant delivery delays, we will inform the customer immediately. The customer’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected by this.

Contracor Performer 400 – Long Venturi blast nozzle made of tungsten carbide

The Contracor Performer 400 is a long Venturi blast nozzle designed for professional pressure blasting applications that require high surface coverage rates, a uniform blast pattern, and a robust nozzle design. The long Venturi profile accelerates compressed air and abrasive media in a controlled manner, promoting high exit velocity and a wide, uniform blast cone.

The nozzle insert is made of tungsten carbide and is designed for rugged industrial and construction site use. A robust polyurethane jacket protects the nozzle. The 32-mm inlet ensures a smooth flow transition, and the connection is made via a 50-mm coarse thread. With bore sizes ranging from 5 to 12.5 mm, the nozzle can be adapted to different compressor power ratings and work tasks.

Benefits

✅ Long Venturi geometry for high abrasive velocity and a wide blast pattern
✅ Robust tungsten carbide nozzle insert with high impact resistance
✅ Polyurethane sleeve to protect the nozzle insert
✅ 32 mm inlet diameter
✅ 50 mm coarse thread for compatible professional nozzle holders
✅ Six nozzle bores ranging from 5 to 12.5 mm
✅ Suitable for mobile and stationary pressure blasting systems
✅ Variants with unique manufacturer SKUs for reliable reorders

Calculate compressed air requirements, abrasive consumption, and compressor power

The bore sizes offered correspond to the levels in our blast nozzle calculator. The compressor’s effective free air delivery at working pressure is decisive for sizing. A reserve of 30 or 50% can account for nozzle wear and typical pressure losses in the hose system; this reserve is not added to the abrasive consumption.

Select the nozzle bore, operating pressure, and desired power reserve. The calculator displays the compressed air requirement, recommended compressor free air delivery, approximate abrasive consumption, and a guideline for compressor motor power.

💡 Power reserve: This accounts for increased air demand due to nozzle wear as well as typical pressure losses. The reserve does not apply to abrasive consumption.

Result:

Technical guidelines. Abrasive consumption and kW ratings are approximate; the effective flow rate at operating pressure is the determining factor for compressor selection.

📌 Important: As wear increases, the nozzle bore expands. This significantly increases the compressed air requirement, even if the set operating pressure remains unchanged.

How It Works and Selecting the Nozzle Size

✔ The long Venturi profile accelerates the air-abrasive media mixture and promotes a wide, even blast pattern
✔ Smaller bores require less compressed air and are suitable for smaller compressors or more targeted work
✔ Larger bores significantly increase the potential surface coverage rate when there is a sufficient air supply
✔ The blast hose, nozzle holder, and compressed-air line must be rated for the required air flow

Recommended Abrasive Media

✔ Corundum / Aluminum Oxide
✔ Garnet abrasive
✔ Slag and disposable mineral abrasives
✔ Glass beads
✔ Steel shot / steel grit for systems designed for this purpose
✔ Additional dry, free-flowing abrasive media of suitable grit size

📌 Note the grit size: The maximum grit size must be compatible with the nozzle bore, the abrasive metering valve, and the conveying path. Damp or clumped abrasive media can impair the flow of material.

Applications

✔ Rust removal and paint stripping from steel and metal surfaces
✔ Removal of scale, old coatings, and heavy contamination
✔ Surface preparation prior to painting, coating, or corrosion protection
✔ Steel, plant, vessel, and machinery manufacturing
✔ Shipyards, maintenance, and mobile construction site operations

Wear, Inspection, and Operation

Tungsten carbide is also a wear-resistant material. The nozzle bore should be checked regularly. A significantly enlarged bore increases air consumption and abrasive usage and can alter the blast pattern. Check the nozzle, thread, and nozzle holder for damage and ensure they are securely fastened before starting operation.

FAQ

What type of inlet does the Performer 400 have?
32 mm.

What type of thread is used?
50 mm coarse thread.

What bore sizes are available?
5, 6.5, 8, 9.5, 11, and 12.5 mm.

What is the advantage of tungsten carbide?
Tungsten carbide combines good wear resistance with high toughness and is therefore particularly suitable for harsh operating conditions.

What nozzle size is right for my compressor?
The effective flow rate and desired operating pressure are the determining factors. Larger bores require significantly more air.

Conclusion

The Contracor Performer 400 is a robust long-Venturi blast nozzle for professional pressure blasting applications. A tungsten carbide core, polyurethane jacket, 32-mm inlet, and 50-mm coarse thread combine to form a durable solution for a variety of blasting applications. With six bore sizes available, the nozzle can be precisely adapted to the compressor output and the desired surface coverage rate.
