WBA wet blast head, 50 mm coarse thread, tungsten carbide

The Contracor WBA wet blast head is mounted between the nozzle holder and the blast nozzle and feeds water directly into the blast stream. This effectively reduces dry dust generation during blasting operations. The head features a 50 mm coarse thread and is supplied without a blast nozzle.

Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Shipping & Delivery

Depending on the size, weight, and nature of our goods, they are shipped either via parcel service or freight carrier. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times listed in the online store are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

Most of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipping). As a result, delivery times may differ from the estimated times provided. Delivery delays may occur, particularly in the event of material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Disclaimer:

We assume no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages—in particular for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits—is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted, provided they are reasonable for the customer. This does not result in additional shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided on an individual basis upon request, either before or after the order is placed.

Please contact us by phone at +49 (0)2551 5030 or by email at shipping@strahltechnik-express.de.

In the event of significant delivery delays, we will inform the customer immediately. The customer’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected by this.

Contracor WBA – tungsten carbide wet blast head with 2 × 50 mm coarse thread

The Contracor WBA is a retrofit wet blast head that introduces water directly at the nozzle area. It is installed between the nozzle holder and the blast nozzle and reduces dust generation by wetting the blast stream at the point of discharge.

The WBA has two 50 mm coarse-thread connections: a 50 mm male coarse thread for installation in a compatible nozzle holder and a 50 mm female coarse thread for a suitable blast nozzle. The blast nozzle is not included.

Wear-exposed components made from tungsten carbide are designed for professional use. The WBA is particularly useful for upgrading existing pressure blasting equipment for dust-reduced operation.

How It Works

The WBA introduces water immediately around the blast outlet. The water captures part of the dust generated by the blasting process, improving visibility and reducing airborne dust in the surrounding area.

Typical Applications
✔ Façade, concrete and natural-stone treatment
✔ Rust and coating removal
✔ Corrosion-protection work
✔ Renovation and restoration
✔ Work in dust-sensitive areas
✔ Mobile construction-site applications

Installation and Compatibility

Screw the WBA's 50 mm male coarse thread into a compatible nozzle holder. Then screw a separately available blast nozzle with a 50 mm coarse thread into the WBA's 50 mm female coarse thread. The WBA therefore sits between the nozzle holder and blast nozzle.

Before installation, verify that nozzle holder, WBA and blast nozzle have compatible threads and sealing surfaces. All connections must be fully engaged, leak-tight and secured against accidental loosening. The water connection must also be pressure-tight.

Maintenance and Safety
✔ Flush water passages regularly
✔ Keep male and female threads clean
✔ Inspect sealing surfaces and nozzle gaskets
✔ Check the water connection for leaks
✔ Install or service only when the system is fully depressurised
✔ Drain completely after use
✔ Protect from frost
✔ Use suitable protective clothing and respiratory protection

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Is the WBA a complete blast nozzle?
No. It is a wet blast head for water injection. A compatible 50 mm coarse-thread blast nozzle is required separately.

Which threads does the WBA use?
A 50 mm male coarse thread for the nozzle holder and a 50 mm female coarse thread for the blast nozzle.

Where is it installed?
Between the nozzle holder and the separately purchased blast nozzle.

Does it make blasting completely dust-free?
No. It significantly reduces dust generation but does not eliminate it completely.
