SP 18 Complete Kit for dust-free blasting, as a retrofit kit for existing blasting machines

The ACF SP 18 is a retrofit system for recirculation and extraction designed for existing compatible high- and low-pressure blasting machines. The brush head captures abrasive media, dust, and loosened debris directly from the surface and directs it into an 18-liter cyclone container. The system is available with or without an industrial vacuum cleaner and is particularly suitable for spot cleaning in indoor areas, workshops, and sensitive work areas.

Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Shipping & Delivery

Depending on the size, weight, and nature of our goods, they are shipped either via parcel service or freight carrier. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times listed in the online store are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

Most of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipping). As a result, delivery times may differ from the estimated times provided. Delivery delays may occur, particularly in the event of material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Disclaimer:

We assume no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages—in particular for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits—is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted, provided they are reasonable for the customer. This does not result in additional shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided on an individual basis upon request, either before or after the order is placed.

Please contact us by phone at +49 (0)2551 5030 or by email at shipping@strahltechnik-express.de.

In the event of significant delivery delays, we will inform the customer immediately. The customer’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected by this.

ACF SP 18 – Retrofit Kit for Low-Dust Blasting with Extraction and Abrasive Recovery

The ACF SP 18 is a professional vacuum-recovery and extraction system designed for retrofitting existing high- and low-pressure blasting machines. The system captures abrasive media, dust, and dislodged coating residues directly at the point of impact. This makes the SP 18 particularly suitable for work in indoor spaces, workshops, production areas, and sensitive environments where open dust generation and widespread abrasive media rebound must be avoided.

The blast head is placed directly against the surface with its circumferential brush. As the abrasive media hits the surface, the connected system immediately extracts the material. Coarse particles are separated in the cyclone separator, while finer dust particles are collected by the connected vacuum cleaner.

Depending on the connection and model, the SP 18 can be used with the ACF Topolino, Colibri, and other suitable blasting machines. It is available in versions with or without a vacuum unit, allowing for flexible integration into existing systems.

Technical Specifications

Feature Value
Model SP 18
System Type Retrofit vacuum-recovery system
Collection vessel capacity 18 liters
Suction Capacity Approx. 1,000 W for the model with a vacuum cleaner
Recommended Nozzles up to approx. 3 mm at higher pressure, 4 mm at reduced pressure
Variants without a vacuum / with a vacuum

How It Works

The blast head, with its brush sleeve, rests as closely as possible against the surface. The abrasive media strikes the surface within the enclosed work area. At the same time, the vacuum creates negative pressure and draws the abrasive media, dust, and dislodged particles through the suction hose into the collection vessel and cyclone separator.

Heavier particles are separated from the air stream in the cyclone separator. If the abrasive media is suitable, clean, and sufficiently stable, some of the material can be reused. Heavily contaminated or disintegrated abrasive media must be disposed of.

Relevant Projects

✔ Partial paint removal
✔ Spot rust removal
✔ Weld seam treatment
✔ Cleaning of metal, stone, and wood
✔ Restoration and repair work
✔ Preparing small surfaces for coating
✔ Working in workshops and indoor spaces

Limitations of the System

The best suction effect is achieved on flat or slightly curved surfaces. The brush head cannot form a complete seal along edges, in deep recesses, on narrow profiles, or on highly uneven surfaces. Abrasive media may escape in these areas.

Maintenance and Care

✔ Check the brush head regularly for wear
✔ Check the extraction hose for leaks
✔ Empty the collection vessel in a timely manner
✔ Clean or replace the vacuum filter regularly
✔ Check the blast nozzle and holder for wear
✔ Keep material flow paths free of blockages
✔ Use only dry, suitable abrasive media

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SP 18 a complete blasting machine?
No. It is a vacuum-recovery system for retrofitting an existing, compatible blasting machine.

Is the system completely dust-free?
Dust generation can be significantly reduced on flat, tightly sealed surfaces. Completely emission-free operation is not possible with every surface geometry.

Can abrasive media be reused?
Yes, provided that it is clean, dry, and still technically suitable after separation.

Which option should be chosen?
The version with a vacuum cleaner is a good choice if a suitable extraction unit is not yet available. The version without a vacuum cleaner is suitable for integration into an existing system.
