Extraction tables for workstations with high levels of dust and fumes

Extraction tables capture dust, fumes, and particles directly in the work area. Depending on the application, capture occurs via the table surface, a rear wall, or a combination of different capture zones. This makes them particularly suitable for recurring grinding, welding, deburring, and machining tasks.

Flow Direction and Workpiece

The optimal extraction direction depends on the process and the dispersion of the contaminant. During grinding, heavy particles may be directed downward or toward the back wall, while welding fumes rise due to thermal convection. The table size, extraction area, and airflow should therefore be suited to the typical workpiece and workflow.

Flow rate and Pressure Drop

For tables without an integrated fan, the existing system must provide the required flow rate under actual pressure loss conditions. Filters, piping, table geometry, and, if applicable, pre-separators must all be taken into account.
