Novablast NBSC blast pots with capacities of 18, 50, 100, and 200 liters

The Novablast blast pots in the NBSC series offer four clearly differentiated tank sizes. The NBSC-18 is designed for particularly compact applications, while the NBSC-50 and NBSC-100 cover the mid-range professional segment. The NBSC-200 is a large-volume model designed for long operating intervals.

In addition to tank size, the available models differ primarily in their abrasive media metering systems. The NBSC-50 and NBSC-100 are available with either a Micro or FSV abrasive media metering valve. For the NBSC-200, you can choose between Micro, FSV, SGV, and GVA. This allows the configuration to be tailored specifically to the intended application.

NBSC-18 for maximum compactness

With a capacity of 18 liters, the NBSC-18 is the smallest model in the product line. This capacity is particularly useful when mobility, compact dimensions, and short, targeted blasting jobs are the priority. While high abrasive consumption requires more frequent refilling, the system remains easy to handle.

The NBSC-50: A Versatile, Portable Model

With a 50-liter capacity, the NBSC-50 offers a significantly larger supply of abrasive media and remains a viable option for many mobile applications. It is available in the store with either a Micro or FSV abrasive metering valve. This allows you to select the desired metering configuration even within the same tank size.

NBSC-100 for extended professional use

With a capacity of 100 liters, the NBSC-100 is designed for users who want longer operating intervals and wish to reduce refilling interruptions. Here, too, Micro and FSV are available as selectable metering valves. Compared to the NBSC-50, the tank size doubles the nominal abrasive supply but does not automatically increase the blasting output at the nozzle.

NBSC-200 with a wide selection of metering valves

The NBSC-200 offers the largest abrasive supply in the Novablast category and, at the same time, the widest selection of valves. In addition to Micro and FSV, SGV and GVA variants are also available. This makes the 200-liter model particularly attractive when not only long operating intervals but also a specific choice of dosing configuration are required.

Which metering valve is best suited for a specific application depends, among other things, on the abrasive media used and the operational requirements. The choice of valve should therefore be considered in conjunction with the medium and the desired workflow.

Blast pot capacity is not the same as blasting capacity

The same applies to Novablast: A 200-liter hopper does not blast more powerfully than an NBSC-50 simply because of its volume. Blasting performance is primarily determined by nozzle size, operating pressure, abrasive feed, and available compressed air. The blast pot capacity primarily determines how much abrasive media is stored and how often the work process must be interrupted for refilling.

Select a compressor sized appropriately for the nozzle

Before selecting a large blast nozzle, the compressor’s effective free air delivery rate should be checked. Air demand increases with nozzle bore diameter and operating pressure. If the air supply is too small, the pressure drops during blasting and the expected performance is not achieved. The blast hose and pressure losses in the piping system must also be taken into account in the overall assessment.

Buy a Novablast blast pot

Anyone looking to purchase a Novablast blast pot can break down the selection process into three steps: first, choose between 18, 50, 100, or 200 liters based on mobility and desired operating time; next, determine the available valve configuration; and finally, select the nozzle, hose, and compressor to match the desired blasting performance. This results in a technically suitable Novablast blast pot system for the intended application.
