Leasing
In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.
Hire Purchase
Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

IBIX Twin 25 Hybrid – 3-in-1 System for Dry Ice, Abrasive Blasting, and Hybrid Blasting
The IBIX Twin 25 Hybrid is a multifunctional microblasting system that combines three different operating modes in one machine: pure dry ice blasting, a combination of dry ice and abrasive media, and pure abrasive blasting. This makes the system suitable both for cleaning tasks requiring minimal secondary residue and for more intensive abrasive surface treatment.
A selector switch on the blast gun allows the operating mode to be selected during operation. The mixing control enables precise metering of dry ice and abrasive media. This makes the IBIX Twin Hybrid particularly suitable for industry, automotive applications, mould and machine cleaning, maintenance, and demanding surface preparation.

Pure Dry Ice – Dry Cleaning with Minimal Secondary Residue
During dry ice blasting, CO₂ pellets strike the surface and then sublimate directly from the solid to the gaseous state. The dry ice itself therefore leaves no additional blasting medium behind. This operating mode is particularly suitable for moulds, machines, production lines, vehicle technology, and other applications where dry cleaning with as little secondary residue as possible is required.
Hybrid Operation – Dry Ice Plus Abrasive Media
In hybrid mode, dry ice is combined with an additional abrasive medium. This allows thermal and mechanical cleaning effects to be combined in a controlled manner. For stubborn coatings, rust, or strongly adhering industrial contamination, garnet can be used, for example. The system allows the mixing ratio to be precisely adapted to the respective task.
Pure Abrasive Blasting – Conventional Surface Treatment
The Twin Hybrid can also be operated without dry ice using suitable abrasive media. Sodium bicarbonate can be used for more sensitive surfaces, for example, while harder abrasive media are available for greater material removal. This allows the system to replace several individual machines where applications frequently change.

Two Separate Containers for Maximum Flexibility
The system uses two separate containers. Dry ice and abrasive media can therefore be stored separately and used individually or together depending on the selected operating mode. The required function is selected via the blast-gun control without having to reconfigure the complete system when changing processes.

Sizing the Compressor Correctly
The Twin Hybrid requires significantly more compressed air than conventional IBIX low-pressure blasting machines. For hybrid operation, IBIX specifies a minimum of approximately 3,500 l/min and ideally around 5,000 l/min. The compressor must therefore be sized according to the intended operating mode and required blasting performance.
FAQ about the IBIX Twin Hybrid
Can the machine be operated with dry ice only?
Yes. Pure dry ice blasting is available in addition to hybrid operation.
Can the machine blast without dry ice?
Yes. The third operating mode is conventional abrasive blasting with suitable abrasive media.
Why are there two containers?
The separate containers allow the two media to be stored separately and mixed in a controlled manner when hybrid operation is selected.
Is a small jobsite compressor sufficient?
No. Hybrid operation requires at least approximately 3,500 l/min; for high performance, IBIX recommends around 5,000 l/min.
