Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Shipping & Delivery

Depending on the size, weight, and nature of our goods, they are shipped either via parcel service or freight carrier. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times listed in the online store are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

Most of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipping). As a result, delivery times may differ from the estimated times provided. Delivery delays may occur, particularly in the event of material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Disclaimer:

We assume no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages—in particular for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits—is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted, provided they are reasonable for the customer. This does not result in additional shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided on an individual basis upon request, either before or after the order is placed.

Please contact us by phone at +49 (0)2551 5030 or by email at shipping@strahltechnik-express.de.

In the event of significant delivery delays, we will inform the customer immediately. The customer’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected by this.

Novablast Thompson II – pneumatic precision metering valve in 1 1/4" or 1 1/2"

The Novablast Thompson II is a pneumatically operated abrasive metering valve for professional blast pots and demanding industrial applications. It combines precise abrasive metering with a quick-shut-off function and is available with either a 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" connection.

The valve opens and closes via the blasting machine’s pneumatic remote control. When the deadman handle is released, the abrasive flow is stopped simultaneously and the material path is reliably shut off. This reduces carryover, unnecessary abrasive consumption, and uncontrolled material feed.

Compared to the first-generation Thompson model, the design was optimized for faster response, finer flow control, easier maintenance, and longer service life. The smaller seat angle reduces the risk of abrasive media becoming trapped under the piston. At the same time, the middle section is structurally separated from the cylinder, making the liner, piston seal, and valve seat more easily accessible.

How It Works

The piston in the valve is moved via the pneumatic remote control. When started, the valve opens the material path; when stopped, the flow of abrasive media is immediately interrupted. The set position determines how much abrasive media is fed into the compressed air stream.

1 1/4" or 1 1/2"?

The appropriate connection size depends on the blast pot, piping, desired material throughput, and existing system. The 1-1/2-inch version is particularly suitable for large blast pots and high abrasive volumes. The 1-1/4-inch version is compatible with many standard professional pressure blasting systems.

Typical Applications

✔ Corrosion Protection and Surface Preparation
✔ Steel and Bridge Construction
✔ Shipyards and Shipbuilding
✔ Tank and Container Manufacturing
✔ Mechanical and Plant Engineering
✔ Industrial Maintenance
✔ Contract Blasting Services
✔ Multi-outlet and large-scale systems

Maintenance and Care

✔ Check pneumatic lines and connections for leaks
✔ Check the piston, liner, and valve seat
✔ Check seals regularly
✔ Keep the adjustment mechanism clean
✔ Use only dry abrasive media
✔ Replace wear parts in a timely manner
✔ Test the valve for proper operation after maintenance
📌 Note:
The Thompson II must be operated with a compatible pneumatic remote control and properly integrated into the blasting system.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Thompson I and Thompson II?
The Thompson II has been further developed for faster response, finer dosing, easier maintenance, and longer service life.

Why are there two connection sizes?
So that the valve can be adapted to different boiler sizes, piping, and material flow rates.

Is the valve suitable for large blast pots?
Yes. The 1-1/2-inch version, in particular, is suitable for large systems and high material volumes.

Does the valve require remote control?
Yes, a compatible remote control system is required for pneumatic operation.

Can the amount of blasting media be finely adjusted?
Yes. That is precisely one of the key strengths of the Thompson II valve.
