Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Premium Inner Liner with Exceptionally High Abrasion Resistance

The inner liner of a blast hose is continuously subjected to stress during operation from the abrasive media being conveyed at high speed. The harder, sharper, and more abrasive the medium used, the more severe the internal wear becomes.

The SuprimBlast features a particularly wear-resistant inner liner made of NR/BR. The abrasion value specified by the manufacturer averages a maximum of 35 mm³ in accordance with DIN ISO 4649:2013.

A low abrasion value indicates high material durability. The SuprimBlast is therefore particularly suitable for businesses where blast hoses are used daily or where particularly aggressive abrasive media are transported.

🎯 Premium Quality Q1:

With an abrasion value of no more than 35 mm³, the SuprimBlast offers higher wear resistance than the ExtraBlast in Q2 grade, which has a maximum of 50 mm³.

Suitable for Highly Abrasive Media

The Contracor SuprimBlast was developed for conveying particularly abrasive blasting media. These include:

  • Steel grit
  • Angular cast steel abrasive
  • Corundum
  • Garnet abrasive
  • Glass beads
  • Reusable mineral abrasives
  • Other dry and free-flowing blasting media

Specific suitability also depends on particle size, particle shape, bulk density, operating pressure, hose length, and the design of the entire blasting system.

The abrasive media must be dry and sufficiently free-flowing. Damp or clumped abrasive media can impair flow and block the hose or downstream components.

Electrically Conductive Hose Construction

During the pneumatic transport of dry abrasive media, electrostatic charge is generated by friction between the material and the hose wall. The SuprimBlast therefore features an electrically conductive inner liner and an electrical resistance of less than 1 MΩ.

The conductive design facilitates the controlled dissipation of electrostatic charges through the connected components and the blasting system’s grounding system.

This requires proper installation using suitable couplings, nozzle holders, and a continuous ground connection.

⚠️ Electrically conductive does not automatically mean grounded:

The conductive hose design is not a substitute for proper grounding. Electrical equipotential bonding between the blasting machine, hose, couplings, nozzle holders, and other system components must be ensured.

Wound Textile Reinforcements for High Pressure Resistance

Wound textile reinforcements are located between the inner liner and the outer cover. These absorb the pressure forces that occur during blasting operations and stabilize the hose against excessive expansion.

The multi-layer construction allows for a maximum operating pressure of 12 bar. The specified burst pressure is 36 bar.

The burst pressure is solely a test value and must not be used as the permissible operating pressure. During operation, the maximum operating pressure of 12 bar must not be exceeded.

Ageing- and Ozone-Resistant Outer Cover

The outer cover is made of an SBR/NBR rubber compound. It is black with a red fabric pattern and is designed to be resistant to ageing and ozone.

This protects the hose construction against typical external stresses encountered in industrial blasting operations. These include dragging across factory floors, contact with dust, and fluctuating ambient temperatures.

Despite its robust outer cover, the hose must be protected from sharp edges, hot components, open flames, and being run over by vehicles.

SuprimBlast-25 with a 25 mm Inner Diameter

The SuprimBlast-25 has an inner diameter of 25 mm and an outer diameter of 39 mm. This size is suitable for numerous professional blast pots with medium to large blast nozzles.

The hose offers a good balance of airflow, flexibility, and weight. It is frequently used in mobile blasting systems and stationary blast rooms.

The SuprimBlast-25 is available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters.

SuprimBlast-32 with a 32 mm Inner Diameter

The SuprimBlast-32 has an inner diameter of 32 mm and an outer diameter of 48 mm. The larger cross-section reduces flow resistance and is particularly suitable for high air volumes, larger nozzles, and longer hose lines.

Compared with a hose with an inner diameter of 25 mm, pressure loss can be reduced at the same airflow rate. However, the larger hose is heavier and less flexible.

The SuprimBlast-32 is also available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters.

Which Hose Size Is Right?
Version Typical application
SuprimBlast-25 Professional mobile and stationary blasting machines with medium to large nozzles
SuprimBlast-32 High airflow rates, larger blast nozzles, and longer hose lines

The inner diameter of the blast hose should be compatible with the nozzle size, available compressor capacity, and required hose length. A hose cross-section that is too small causes increased pressure losses and can significantly reduce blasting performance.

💡 Rule of thumb:

The inner diameter of the blast hose should generally be at least three to four times the inner diameter of the nozzle. For long hose lines, a larger cross-section is often recommended.

Selecting the Roll Length

SuprimBlast is available in rolls of 20 or 40 meters. The appropriate length depends on the working radius and the planned system configuration.

A 20-meter roll is suitable for many typical mobile and stationary blasting applications. The 40-meter roll offers a larger working radius or can be used to custom-assemble multiple hose lines.

Unnecessarily long hoses increase pressure loss and make handling more difficult. The hose length should therefore be limited to what is actually required for the work area.

Matching Blast Couplings and Nozzle Holders

Suitable blast couplings and nozzle holders are required to connect the blasting machine and the blast nozzle. The fittings must match the respective outer diameter of the hose.

  • 📌 SuprimBlast-25: outer diameter 39 mm
  • 📌 SuprimBlast-32: outer diameter 48 mm

Couplings and nozzle holders must be suitable for the maximum operating pressure and secured in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. A suitable coupling safety device must also be installed between two connected blast couplings.

⚠️ Select fittings by outer diameter:

The outer diameter of 39 or 48 mm is decisive for selecting the appropriate hose couplings and nozzle holders. The inner diameter alone is not sufficient for selecting the fittings.

ExtraBlast or SuprimBlast?
Feature ExtraBlast SuprimBlast
Quality Q2 Q1
Contracor designation Abrasive Media 2 Abrasive Media 1

Temperature-Resistant from −30 °C to +80 °C

The SuprimBlast is designed for a temperature range of −30 °C to +80 °C. This allows it to be used in cool workshop areas and outdoor settings, as well as in environments with higher ambient temperatures.

However, the hose must not come into contact with open flames, hot workpieces, aggressive chemicals, or sharp-edged components.

📌 Safety and Application Instructions
  • Do not exceed the maximum operating pressure of 12 bar
  • Check the hose for damage before each use
  • Use only compatible blast couplings and nozzle holders
  • Connect couplings using appropriate safety devices
  • Ensure continuous electrical conductivity and grounding
  • Do not kink the hose or route it in excessively tight radii
  • Do not pull the hose over sharp edges
  • Do not drive over the hose with vehicles or heavy workpieces
  • Protect from hot surfaces and open flames
  • Replace damaged or heavily worn hoses immediately
  • Completely depressurize the system before performing maintenance work

Inspection and Maintenance

Even a highly abrasion-resistant blast hose is subject to natural wear. The inner liner can wear down due to the abrasive media being conveyed through it without this being immediately visible from the outside.

The hose should therefore be inspected regularly along its entire length. Areas near couplings, nozzle holders, hose bends, and points where the hose is frequently dragged across the floor are subject to particular wear.

  • Check the outer cover for cracks, cuts, and abrasion
  • Check the hose for unusually soft or thin spots
  • Check couplings and nozzle holders for a secure fit
  • Check mounting screws regularly
  • Inspect coupling gaskets for wear
  • Check electrical conductivity and ground connection
  • Do not continue to use heavily worn hose sections
