FR Series on Air Receivers

Belt-driven rotary screw compressors with air receivers connect the compressor unit to a compatible air receiver. The FR series in the current product lineup ranges from 3 to 22 kW and, depending on power output, is configured with either a 270-liter or 500-liter air receiver.

270 liters for compact performance levels

The 3- and 4-kW models are available with 270-liter air receivers. For the 5.5, 7.5, 11, and 15 kW models, 270 or 500 liters are available, depending on the model. This allows the storage capacity to be adapted to the installation site and system configuration.

500 liters for the larger FR models

The 18.5- and 22-kW models in the current product line are equipped with 500-liter tanks. At 8 or 10 bar, they deliver up to 3.1 and 3.6 m³/min, respectively. The tank serves as a compressed air buffer and can smooth out short-term fluctuations in consumption.

Flow rate from 0.38 to 3.6 m³/min

The FR series starts at 0.38/0.46 m³/min with 3 kW. The range extends from 5.5 and 7.5 kW up to 1.4/1.6 m³/min at 11 kW, 1.9/2.3 m³/min at 15 kW, and finally 3.0/3.6 m³/min at 22 kW. This allows the performance to be fine-tuned relatively precisely to the specific application.

Containers are no substitute for proper sizing

A larger air receiver can buffer peaks, but it cannot compensate for a compressor that is permanently undersized. If the consumers continuously require more air than the compressor supplies, the receiver pressure will drop despite the larger storage volume. Therefore, the required continuous flow rate remains the key selection criterion.
