Internal pipe blasting with a specially deflected jet
For the interior surfaces of pipes, a standard straight blast nozzle is only of limited use. The relevant surface is located around the blast nozzle, not in front of it. Internal pipe blast nozzles therefore direct the jet specifically onto the pipe wall, enabling controlled processing of the interior surface. Depending on the design, the jet is distributed all around, allowing corrosion, old coatings, or other residues to be removed more evenly and surfaces to be prepared for subsequent coatings.
Short and long 360° internal pipe blast nozzles
The current PTC-360° models differ in length and nozzle bore. The short version is compact, while the long version accommodates different insertion and working conditions. Which model is appropriate depends on the pipe diameter, accessibility, required reach, and desired blasting capacity.
The nozzle alone does not determine the entire working area. Guidance, centering, and feed through the tube also influence how uniformly the inner surface is processed.
Tungsten Carbide for Heavy-Duty Applications
The internal pipe blast nozzles offered are made of tungsten carbide. The material is wear-resistant and mechanically robust, making it well-suited for professional blasting work. Nevertheless, even an internal pipe blast nozzle is a wear part. An increasing bore diameter alters air consumption and blasting effectiveness and should be checked regularly.
Match the nozzle bore to the compressor power
Depending on the model, the nozzle bores vary significantly. As the cross-sectional area increases, so does the required volume of compressed air. The compressor must be capable of delivering the necessary flow rate at the desired operating pressure. Additionally, pressure losses occur in lines, blast pots, valves, and blast hoses. A sufficient power reserve is therefore particularly important for longer hose runs.
50 mm coarse thread connection
Current internal pipe blast nozzles use a 50 mm coarse thread. The nozzle holder must therefore be designed for this thread. Before any modification, it should also be verified that the blast hose, nozzle holder, nozzle, and other components are mechanically and performance-wise compatible.

Buy an internal pipe blast nozzle suitable for your application
To achieve uniform results, the nozzle, pipe geometry, and blasting system must be designed as a single unit. ABS Strahltechnik provides support in selecting suitable internal pipe blast nozzles and coordinating them with the blast pot, blast hose, abrasive media, and compressor.
