DN 7.2 as a coupling profile
For quick-release couplings, DN 7.2 refers to the connection or coupling profile used. For a connection to function properly, the coupling and plug must fit together geometrically. Connection systems that look similar on the outside are not automatically compatible with one another.
Select the correct coupling and mating part
A quick-connect coupling consists of components designed to work together. In addition to the profile, the connection type and installation situation must also be taken into account. Depending on the application, the connection is made, for example, via a thread, a hose connection, or a suitable adapter. The combination of the coupling side and the existing line or machine is always the determining factor.
Compressed air supply without unnecessary bottlenecks
Couplings are part of the entire compressed air system. Transitions that are too small or unsuitable can reduce the free cross-sectional area and thus affect the available flow rate. For equipment with high air demand, therefore, it is important to consider not only the compressor but also the entire piping system, including hoses, couplings, fittings, and treatment equipment.
Check seals and locks regularly
As with all frequently used compressed-air connections, the seal and locking mechanism are subject to mechanical stress. Regular visual and functional inspections help detect wear, leaks, or damaged connection surfaces at an early stage.
Four Points to Consider When Making a Selection
ā DN-7.2 profile compatible with the existing counterpart
ā Connection thread or hose connection compatible with the line
ā Take into account the operating conditions of the compressed air system
ā Consider the coupling, connector, and seal as a coordinated system
Quick-release couplings for professional compressed air systems
To ensure a reliable compressed air supply, quick-release couplings should not be selected in isolation. Hose size, pipe cross-section, consumers, and desired air flow rate are all part of the overall system design. We would be happy to assist you in selecting a suitable DN 7.2 connection for your existing system.
