Contracor Blast Guns for Injector Blasting, Booths, and Recirculation

Contracor blast guns are particularly well-represented in the current product lineup. The product group includes mobile injector guns, manual and automatic blast guns for blast cabinets, matching air and blast nozzles, and a vacuum blasting system. This allows users to select products in this category not only by manufacturer but also by operating method.

The SFG and Power Gun are available for mobile applications. In blast cabinets, the manual GX and the automatic GA are used. The product line is rounded out by the EDUCT-O-MATIC for suction-back operations, as well as nozzle components that allow the system to be tailored to the abrasive media, the desired blast pattern, and the available compressed air.

Contracor Product Groups

✔ SFG with ceramic blast nozzle (Ø 8 mm), suction lance, and hose assembly

✔ Power Gun with suction lance and 5 m abrasive hose

✔ GX as a manual blast gun for blast cabinets

✔ GA as an automatic blast gun for cabinet processes

✔ EDUCT-O-MATIC with a closed suction-return circuit

✔ Air and blast nozzles for GA and GX

SFG and Power Gun for mobile injector blasting applications

The Contracor SFG comes equipped with a ceramic blast nozzle (Ø 8 mm), an abrasive media suction lance, a 4-meter abrasive hose, and a 3-meter air hose. It is also available as a set with a container. This makes it ideal for users seeking a compact system for targeted cleaning, derusting, and surface roughening tasks.

The Power Gun also operates with a suction lance and is available with a 5-meter abrasive hose; a container version is also available. Which of the two injector guns is more suitable should be determined based on the work area, desired blasting power, and available compressed air.

GX for manual blasting in blast cabinets

The GX is designed for manual work in a blast cabinet. The shop offers the gun with a Ø 4 mm air jet and without a blast nozzle. Compatible GXT and GXB blast nozzles are available separately in bore sizes ranging from 6 to 10 mm. The GXT uses tungsten carbide, while the GXB uses boron carbide.

This selection allows for customization based on frequency of use, abrasive media, and desired nozzle service life. At the same time, the selected blast nozzle must be compatible with the air jet and the available compressor power ratings.

GA for Automatic Cabin Processes

The Contracor GA is an automatic blast gun designed for recurring or automated processes in blast cabinets. It is also available in the store with a 4 mm air jet and without a blast nozzle. Compatible GAB boron-carbide blast nozzles are available with nozzle bores ranging from 6 to 10 mm. In automated processes, a reproducible balance between air pressure, nozzle, abrasive media, and distance is particularly important.

EDUCT-O-MATIC for localized suction applications

The EDUCT-O-MATIC operates in a closed-loop system and uses various brushes. Abrasive media and removed particles are collected directly at the work area. This is particularly useful when only a limited area needs to be blasted and the free dispersion of the abrasive media must be avoided as much as possible.

How to Choose the Right Contracor Blast Gun

When making a selection, the first step is to determine whether the application will be mobile, in a booth, automated, or use a suction system. Next, consider the abrasive media, nozzle material, nozzle bore diameter, and compressed air supply. For GX and GA models in particular, the combination of air and blast nozzles is crucial. If you have questions about the appropriate model, we’ll assist you in tailoring the technical specifications to your specific application.
