Blasting gloves protect the hands and forearms from mechanical stress, abrasive rebound, and contamination. Depending on the work environment, two distinctly different designs are used: portable blasting gloves for manual blasting work and permanently mounted long gloves for blast cabinets.
Our product range includes leather and PVC gloves from Contracor, Clemco, Blastsafe™, and IBIX, as well as Contracor RGA/RGS booth gloves in various lengths. The material, cuff length, flexibility, and fastening type depend on the specific application.
Anyone looking to purchase blasting gloves should therefore first distinguish between personal hand protection and booth gloves. Both serve a similar protective purpose, but their designs are not interchangeable. Gloves also complement the rest of the protective equipment and do not replace blasting suits, respiratory protection, or head protection.
✅ Portable blasting gloves – for manual open-blast cleaning and working with a blast gun
✅ Long sleeves—provide additional protection for the transition to the wrist and forearm
✅ Leather or PVC – Choose the material that best suits the load and flexibility requirements
✅ Blasting booth gloves – securely mounted to the glove ports of a blasting booth
✅ Length and connection—check that they match the booth for RGA/RGS
✅ Check for wear and tear—identify holes, cracks, and thin spots in a timely manner
