Contracor BlastRazor blast pots from 25 to 200 liters
The Contracor blast pots in the BlastRazor series are currently available in the product lineup with vessel capacities of 25, 50, 100, and 200 liters. In addition to the basic models Z-25, Z-50, Z-100, and Z-200, there are versions with remote control as well as several complete systems. This allows the product line to cover both very compact mobile applications and longer professional blasting operations.
The different tank sizes primarily determine the abrasive media supply and the time between refills. The actual blasting performance, on the other hand, depends largely on the nozzle size, operating pressure, abrasive media, and compressor power. Therefore, even a large Z-200 should not be selected based solely on its vessel capacity.
Contracor Variants in the Product Line
✅ Z-25 and Z-50 – compact BlastRazor blast pots
✅ Z-100 and Z-200 – larger capacity for longer working intervals
✅ RC models – with remote-control hose and DMH hand lever
✅ RCS models – available as additional configured variants for the Z-100 and Z-200
✅ BlastPack – Complete sets in 25, 50, 100, and 200 liters
✅ Blasting systems and wet blast systems – complete solutions with additional equipment
Z-25 and Z-50 for compact, mobile applications
With capacities of 25 and 50 liters, respectively, the Z-25 and Z-50 are designed for good portability and compact dimensions. They are particularly suitable for changing work sites and tasks that do not require a large supply of abrasive. Both sizes are available as standard units and as RC models. The RC models come equipped with a remote-control hose and a DMH hand lever.
In addition, the BlastPack-25 and BlastPack-50 are available as complete sets. Customers who do not already own all the necessary components can rely on these pre-assembled systems.
Z-100 and Z-200 for longer blasting intervals
The 100- and 200-liter tanks offer significantly more abrasive reserve. This reduces the frequency of refills and is particularly beneficial for longer jobs on larger areas. Both sizes are available in the standard, RC, and RCS models. The remote control allows you to start and stop the blasting process from your workstation.
BlastPack complete sets are also available for these sizes. In addition, this category includes complete blasting systems with protective equipment. This allows you to choose between a single tank and a more comprehensive system solution, depending on your existing equipment.
BlastPack or a custom-configured blast pot?
A single BlastRazor blast pot is a good choice if hoses, a nozzle, a remote control, or other components are already available or are intentionally to be combined individually. A BlastPack, on the other hand, reduces the effort required for assembly because key components are already offered as a set. Which option is more cost-effective therefore depends on the existing inventory and the planned use.
Blasting Systems and Wet Blast Systems
In addition to traditional blast pot sets, the Contracor product range includes complete blasting systems with additional protective equipment as well as wet blast systems for corresponding applications. These packages are designed for users who need not only the pot but also a more comprehensive solution. When performing wet blasting, it is also important to consider how water addition, the workpiece’s corrosion behavior, and subsequent surface treatment interact.
Match the nozzle and compressor to the BlastRazor
The achievable performance is not determined by the tank capacity, but rather by the air flow rate at the nozzle. As the nozzle bore increases and the operating pressure rises, the air demand increases significantly. The compressor should therefore have sufficient reserve capacity to ensure that the operating pressure does not drop during continuous blasting. Blast hoses, couplings, and pressure losses must also be factored into the design.
Buy a Contracor blast pot
If you’re looking to purchase a Contracor blast pot, you can first choose between 25, 50, 100, and 200 liters and then select the desired configuration. The smaller sizes are particularly suitable for mobile applications, while the larger tanks are ideal for long working intervals. RC and RCS variants, BlastPack sets, and complete blasting systems allow for further customization to suit the user’s needs and existing equipment.
