Accessories for dry ice blasting machines for compressed air, portability, and safe operation

Accessories for dry ice blasting machines complement the machine itself with essential components for compressed air supply, air treatment, working radius, grounding, lighting, and dry ice storage. In our product range, you’ll find original accessories from Dry Ice Energy for the various machines in the Champ series.

These include compressed-air hoses, safety couplings, adapters, water separators, filter regulators, cyclone separators, grounding cables, lamp holders, dry ice storage boxes, push bars, tank extensions, and special extensions such as the Abrasive Kit. Because not every accessory is compatible with every Champ model, the selection should always be based on the specific dry ice blasting machine and the available compressed air supply.

Essential Accessories by Application

Compressed-air hoses & couplings – reliable supply and a larger working radius

Water Separators & Filter Regulators – to improve compressed-air quality

Grounding cable – for dissipating electrostatic charge

Dry ice storage boxes – insulated storage and transport of pellets

Lamp mount – better visibility right at the work area

Push Bar & Tank Extension – greater convenience and longer working intervals

Abrasive Kit – Expansion of compatible Champ models for additional mechanical action

Putting Together the Right Accessories for Dry Ice Blasting Machines

A dry ice blasting machine will only operate reliably if the compressed air supply, connections, and work environment are appropriate. The right accessories therefore not only improve ease of use but can also have a direct impact on process stability, safety, and cleaning performance. The current product line includes original components from Dry Ice Energy for the Champ series.

Compressed-Air Hoses, Couplings, and Adapters

The compressor must deliver the required volume of air to the device with as little loss as possible. Adequately sized hoses and compatible couplings are crucial for this. The product range includes, among other items, a 7-meter compressed-air hose with a safety coupling and a 15-meter compressed-air hose with claw couplings. An adapter set connects different coupling standards to one another.

Pressure losses increase with long hoses and high air flow rates. Therefore, especially with higher-performance Champ models, it is important to consider not only the hose length but also the inner diameter.

Compressed-Air Treatment to Remove Moisture and Particles

Moisture in compressed air can cause problems during dry ice blasting. Water separators, filter regulators, and cyclone separators help remove condensate and particles from the air stream. A compact water separator with a safety quick-connect coupling is available for the Champ Neo. In addition, there is a filter regulator from SMC that combines pressure regulation, fine filtration, and a water separator.

The type of treatment required depends on the compressor type, ambient temperature, humidity, and load. If the compressed air is particularly humid, further drying may be necessary.

Grounding and Lighting in Practical Applications

Electrostatic charges can build up during blasting. A grounding cable with clamps helps ensure controlled dissipation. This is particularly useful for sensitive components and in environments where electrostatic discharges must be avoided.

For hard-to-see areas, a work light mounted directly on the blast gun is practical. The Dry Ice Energy lamp mounting set combines a mount and an LED lamp, improving visibility along edges, in the engine compartment, or behind components.

Storing and Transporting Dry Ice

Dry ice continuously loses mass through sublimation. An insulated storage box can reduce this loss while also facilitating transport and temporary storage. The product range includes a dry ice storage box with a capacity of approximately 100 kg or 130 liters. Even in such a box, sublimation cannot be completely stopped.

Which accessories offer which benefits?

✅ Larger working radius thanks to the right compressed air and blast hoses

✅ More stable processes thanks to dry and filtered compressed air

✅ Safer disconnection of hoses with safety couplings

✅ Less electrostatic charge thanks to proper grounding

✅ Longer operating intervals thanks to tank extensions

✅ Reduced dry ice loss thanks to insulated storage boxes

Sliding bracket, tank extension, and blast hose extension

For frequent location changes, a machine push handle can make it easier to handle compatible Champ devices. A hopper extension increases the available pellet supply on suitable models and reduces interruptions for refilling. A special blast hose extension is also available for the Champ Vario, which can be used to increase the working radius.

Abrasive Kit as a Special Add-On

The Dry Ice Energy Abrasive Kit is designed for compatible Champ models and allows for the additional feeding of an abrasive media. This enables more intensive mechanical processing in addition to the thermal and mechanical effects of dry ice. The abrasive media is fed via a separate module and is not passed through the dry ice machine itself.

Buy Accessories for Dry Ice Blasting Machines – Check Compatibility First

Before purchasing, check which Champ model the accessory is approved for. Some components fit nearly all devices, while others are expressly intended only for the Champ Neo, Champ Vario, or specific standard models. ABS Strahltechnik provides support in putting together compressed air supply, treatment, and genuine accessories for your specific application.
