Mobile Compressors for Flexible Compressed Air Supply
Mobile compressors are used when compressed air is needed at various locations or when a stationary compressed air supply is not available. The current product line includes an oil-free diaphragm compressor, a portable electric piston compressor, several gasoline-powered piston compressors, and gasoline-powered rotary screw compressors.
The performance range is correspondingly wide: from 172 l/min for breathing air diaphragm compressors, to 350 to 900 l/min for mobile piston compressors, and up to 800 to 2,200 l/min for gasoline-powered rotary screw compressors. Depending on the unit, the maximum operating pressure reaches up to 11 bar.
Electric Compressor for Mobile, Mains-Powered Applications
The portable electric piston compressor in the product line delivers 350 l/min at a maximum of 7 bar and operates on 220 V. It is a good choice when a suitable power supply is available at the job site and a combustion engine is not required.
Gasoline-powered piston compressors
The gasoline-powered piston compressors in the current product line cover a range of approximately 500 to 900 l/min. Depending on the model, a maximum pressure of 7 or 11 bar is available. Such units are ideal for mobile work sites where compressed air generation independent of the power grid is required.
Gasoline-powered rotary screw compressors for higher air demand
Gasoline-powered rotary screw compressors are available for higher mobile air flow rates. The available models range from 800 to 1,200, 1,900, and 2,200 l/min. The IB 2000 delivers approximately 1,900 l/min at a maximum of 8 bar and is additionally equipped with a refrigerated air dryer. Other models operate at 6 or 7 bar, depending on the version.
Before Purchasing a Mobile Compressor
✅ Determine the required air volume of the consumer
✅ Check the required operating pressure
✅ Specify whether the unit is powered by electricity or gasoline
✅ Take into account transportation, weight, and place of use
✅ When using abrasive blasting technology, factor in the nozzle’s air consumption
Diaphragm compressor for designated breathing air applications
The oil-free diaphragm compressor constitutes a special product group within the mobile category. The current model delivers 172 l/min at 6 bar and is certified for breathing air in accordance with DIN EN 12021. Such an application is not technically equivalent to standard compressed air for tools; the entire breathing air system must be appropriately designed.
Mobile Compressor for Abrasive Blasting Technology
In mobile blasting, a consistently available air supply is particularly important. A nozzle requires a specific amount of air, depending on its diameter and operating pressure. If the demand exceeds the compressor’s output, the pressure drops during operation. Therefore, the compressor should not be selected based solely on horsepower or maximum pressure.
Buy a mobile compressor
Anyone looking to purchase a mobile compressor should first determine the intended use, air demand, operating pressure, and power source. The product range offers various performance levels to meet these needs, from compact electric or gasoline-powered piston compressors to portable gasoline-powered rotary screw compressors for high air demand.
