Remote-control valves as the central control system for the blast pot
In professional blasting cabinets, the remote control allows the blasting process to be started and stopped directly from the workstation. The remote-control valve transmits the signal from the hand lever on the cabinet. Depending on the system, it controls the compressed air supply, cabinet pressure, and venting. As a result, the remote control is not just a convenience feature, but an essential component of operational control.
Pneumatic Remote-Control Valves
Many blast pots operate with pneumatic remote control systems. The remote-control deadman handle operates the valve system on the blast pot via one or more remote-control hoses. Valve size, hose connections, and control logic must be compatible with the respective system. The product range includes various valve sizes for both compact and larger blast pots.
Inlet and outlet valves as part of the assembly
Complete remote control systems may consist of several individual components. Inlet valves control the compressed air supply, while outlet valves control venting or pressure relief. Other components, such as pilot pressure regulators and silencers, perform additional functions. When replacing an individual part, the existing assembly should therefore be clearly identified.
Silencers and Pilot Pressure Regulators
When venting a blast pot, compressed air flows out of the system rapidly. Silencers designed for this purpose reduce the resulting noise. Pilot pressure regulators control the control pressure in compatible systems. Both components must be compatible with the valve series and connection size.
Electric remote control as a standalone system
In addition to pneumatic solutions, there are electric remote controls with a control box and an electric remote-control deadman handle. These systems follow a different control logic and must not be combined with pneumatic components without a technical review. When making modifications, the power supply, control box, deadman handle, and tank valves must be considered as a single integrated system.
