HMS 1 1/2" water separator for abrasive blasting machines

 |  Item No. 31229D

The Clemco HMS water separator with a 1 1/2-inch connection reduces liquid condensate in the main air supply of professional blast machines. This minimizes clumping, pulsation, and cloggings caused by moist compressed air. It is available with either a manual or automatic condensate drain. The design must be compatible with the blasting system’s maximum air consumption, operating pressure, and connection size.

Leasing & Rent-to-Own

We offer leasing and rent-to-own financing options exclusively to business owners, tradespeople, and the self-employed for selected products with a net merchandise value of €1,000 or more. Below you will find the key differences between these two financing options.

Leasing

In a lease, the product is made available to the lessee for use in exchange for regular lease payments. The lessor is responsible for accounting for the lease. The lease payments can generally be claimed as business expenses for tax purposes. These are gross payments, and value-added tax is charged throughout the entire term. At the end of the agreed-upon basic lease term, it is generally possible to purchase the product.

Hire Purchase

Hire purchase is economically equivalent to installment purchase. The product is capitalized on the hire purchaser’s balance sheet and depreciated in accordance with the official depreciation tables. Upon payment of the final hire purchase installment, ownership of the item is transferred to the hire purchaser. Value-added tax must be paid in full with the first hire purchase installment (transitory item).

Shipping & Delivery

Depending on the size, weight, and nature of our goods, they are shipped either via parcel service or freight carrier. We select the shipping method at our reasonable discretion.

The delivery times listed in the online store are non-binding estimates, unless a binding delivery date has been expressly confirmed in writing. They are based on the information available from our manufacturers, suppliers, and logistics partners at the time the order is placed.

Most of the products offered are shipped directly from the manufacturer or from external central warehouses (direct shipping). As a result, delivery times may differ from the estimated times provided. Delivery delays may occur, particularly in the event of material shortages, production delays, supply bottlenecks, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Disclaimer:

We assume no liability for delivery delays resulting from circumstances beyond our control. This applies in particular to delays caused by manufacturers, suppliers, shipping companies, or other third parties. Liability for any resulting damages—in particular for indirect damages, consequential damages, or lost profits—is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Partial deliveries are permitted, provided they are reasonable for the customer. This does not result in additional shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed.

The exact delivery time for an item can be provided on an individual basis upon request, either before or after the order is placed.

Please contact us by phone at +49 (0)2551 5030 or by email at shipping@strahltechnik-express.de.

In the event of significant delivery delays, we will inform the customer immediately. The customer’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected by this.

Clemco HMS Water Separator 1 1/2 Inches – Compressed-Air Treatment for Blast Machines

The Clemco HMS water separator with a 1 1/2-inch connection reduces liquid condensate in the compressed air supply of professional blast cleaning systems. Dry compressed air is crucial for a consistent flow of abrasive, as moisture can cause clumping, pulsation, and cloggings in the metering valve or blast hose.

The large connection version is designed for high-performance systems with high air flow rates. The water separator is available with manual or automatic condensate drain and is selected based on system piping, flow rate, and maintenance plan.

Your Benefits
āœ… Original Clemco water separator
āœ… Large 1 1/2-inch connection
āœ… Reduces liquid condensate before it reaches the blast pot
āœ… Supports a consistent flow of abrasive
āœ… Optional manual or automatic drain
āœ… For professional abrasive blasting systems

Technical Classification
Model HMS
connection size 1 1/2 inches
Task Separation of liquid condensate from compressed air
Installation in the main air line upstream of the blast pot
Sizing based on system flow rate and operating pressure

Variants
Drain Item No. Property
manually 31229D Condensate is drained manually on a regular basis
automatic 31246D Automatic drainage when functioning properly

Installation and System Design

The HMS must be installed in the correct flow direction and, if possible, at an easily accessible location. The connection cross-section and actual flow rate of the entire air treatment system must be sufficient to meet the air requirements of the nozzle being used. The water separator is not a substitute for a refrigerated air dryer or desiccant air dryer when particularly low pressure dew points are required.

Maintenance and Inspection

If draining manually, drain condensate regularly and before it reaches a critical level. Check automatic drains to ensure they are unobstructed and functioning reliably. Check the housing, seals, connections, and drain line for leaks. Perform work only on a system that is completely depressurized.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Does the HMS remove all moisture?
It primarily removes liquid condensate; water vapor may require additional drying.

Which version is better?
The automatic drain reduces the need for manual maintenance, but it must also be checked regularly.

How is the size determined?
Based on the blasting system’s piping, operating pressure, and maximum air consumption.
